KIDS* TABLE
It’s All About Being
-
Let kids sharethe
holidayspiritwith
artful projects that
will keep them busy
until dessert.
The kids’ table has been a
fixture of Thanksgiving dinner
for generations, a place to
consign all those fidgety little
people while they wonder—
loudly— if it’s time for pie yet.
But this year, with a few art
supplies and a little bit of
imagination, you can redirect
their energy toward something
more productive—giving
thanks. And they’ll have
fun doing it.
1. Personal place cards
Using markers and crayons, as
well as glue, buttons, and felt
pieces, let kids create custom
place cards for each guest.
2. Thankful thoughts
Start a new tradition by having
each child write down one
thing he or she is thankful for.
Have the kids write new ones
every Thanksgiving and save
them in a scrapbook. You’ll love
reading them year after year.
